About Wine Cube Tours
I invite you to embrace Wine Country’s unique ambiance as you enjoy your carefully curated Wine Country experience. I take great pride in crafting a perfect day to suit my guests’ palates. From rich, round, and fruit-driven, to lower-alcohol, higher-acidity, European-style wines—no matter what you like or want to try, I can help you find it.
First-time visitor, new to wine? I’ll create a day designed to help you discover what you like. Do you collect wines and love Napa’s cult Cabs? Allow me to introduce you to producers that are still off the radar. Craving Pinot Noir? I’ll reveal obscure small producers with their own special expressions of this popular varietal. Maybe you’d like to meet winemakers or take a vineyard tour. Or perhaps you have some wineries in mind or have already made some plans. I’ll weave everything together to create your perfect day in Wine Country. |
Raymond RolanderOwner & Certified California Wine Appellation Specialist (CWAS)With more than 17 years of experience in the wine industry, I’m a Sonoma County native who loves this area and its fascinating history. Many people say that their “epiphany wine” encouraged them to get into the industry. Well, I’ve been lucky enough to try many epiphany wines over the years, and each one inspired me to explore further into the world of wine.
As I worked my way up in the wine industry, I looked for tasting room jobs where I could learn the most, and by the time I became a manager, I had gained a unique understanding of what guests like—and what makes a winetasting experience special. Using what I learned, I created a different kind of touring experience, a day simply focused on my guests’ interests and curiosity. Today, as the owner and host of Wine Cube Tours, I love sharing the beauty, variety, and flavors of Wine Country from an insider’s perspective. |

Napa ValleyPerhaps the best-known wine producing region in the US, Napa holds a mystique unlike any other region. With more than 450 wineries, the area’s secret is its many layers that make for ongoing exploration and delight. With 16 appellations and roughly half the growing acreage of Sonoma, Napa is all about bringing out the nuances of a select few grape varieties—most famously, Cabernet Sauvignon, which loves the region’s warm days, morning fog, and nuanced soils. Interestingly, many visitors only consider wines made from the valley floor’s grapes, but I love revealing to my guests the lesser-known mountain wineries, where the grapes’ expression can be refreshingly different.

Mendocino/Anderson ValleyRugged, unspoiled, and laced with majestic redwoods, this region features many hidden wine treasures to discover. I love introducing my guests to the many unique wineries strung along the curving little roads that link the area’s small towns. Ideally situated to receive the cooling afternoon sea breezes preferred by Pinot Noir, the Anderson Valley and the slightly warmer Yorkville Highlands offer a bounty of exciting wines. The area is also an epicenter of progressive growing practices, with a special emphasis on organic and sustainable techniques that preserve the land and respect the complex interconnectedness of the ecosystem.
